Community Corrections
The Office of Community Corrections is a division of UPCAP Services Inc. and is a state funded grant program under Public Act 511.
The Community Corrections Program Coordinator for Iron County is Ron Curnow. The Office is located at the Iron County Courthouse. Office hours are Mondays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in Iron County and 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday in Dickinson County.

Community Corrections operates the following programs in Iron County:
- Iron County Sheriff Work Van Supervisor is Ron Curnow.
- This is a jail alternative program that takes clients out into the community to perform community service for non-profit agencies. The program operates Wednesday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
- Tether Program: Supervisor is Ron Curnow.
- This is a jail alternative program that is paid for by the client.
- Life Skills Program: Instructor is Jim Sliek
- This is a jail alternative program that is provided to current inmates in the Iron County Correctional Facility. It is a six-week session of intense instruction on the skills needed to become employed and stay employed. Inmates receive credit off their jail sentence if they successfully complete the program.
- S.M.A.R.T. Recovery Program: Instructor is Jim Sliek
- This is a jail alternative program that is provided to current inmates in the Iron County Correctional Facility. It is a six-week session of intense instruction on drug and alcohol addiction. Inmates receive credit off their jail sentence if they successfully complete the program.
